WRITING: Or, as they say in television, “We can always change the words”

17 Dec

Writing is a tiny footprint on the face of a vast sand dune.

Writing is the faint cry of an eagle echoing in a bottomless gorge.

Writing is a half-melted lump of something in the ashes of a firestorm.

Writing is a fingerprint to an unsolved murder.

Writing is not mightier than a sword but it is mightier than the pen.

Writing is a bloodstain on a snowflake.

Writing is your version of a lie.

Writing is a treasure map with a curse.

This is not writing.  This is typing.

Wow! Loved this. You’re a poet and I didn’t know it!
Happy Holidays to you and your lovely family.

You didn’t mention that writing is something one can do while sitting down. That’s important to some of us.
