Bill Steinkellner’s Random and Curious Impressions Vegas Act

6 Apr

The Mermaid Lounge at the Silverton Hotel-Casino-Lodging located at the very memorable 3333 Blue Diamond Road, is proud to present the always esoteric comedy impressions of Bill Steinkellner:

“You’ve run your errand, now get out!”  — Kim Novak in Pal Joey (an impression I stole from Phyllis Katz – and she is actually much better at it).

“Riiiiick, help me!”  — Peter Lorre in Casablanca (lots of people do Lorre – or did – but I take the curse off it by picking an obscure cinematic moment).

“Give me those shoes.  I want those shoes! — Patty McCormack in The Bad Seed (not my best work, but not embarrassing.  Mostly used to set up my next impression which I am proud of):

“You killed him.  You killed that little boy.” — Henry Jones in The Bad Seed (shortly before the Bad Seed sets fire to excelsior in the shed where he naps, and sends Mr. Jones to Handyman Heaven).

“Then I can not help you.” –Marisa Berenson in Cabaret.

“But ya didn’t, didja, Blanche?”  — Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

“I was good.” and “A milkshake.” — Both from  All About Eve (what can I say?  I was born to play Bette Davis roles).

“I’ve got the bullets.”  — Sal Mineo in Rebel Without a Cause (occasionally played in tandem with the Natalie Wood sequence at the end of West Side Story where she’s calling out “CHIINOOO!”).

“You’re all sinners.  You’re all going to hell.” — Burt Lancaster in Elmer Gantry

“Dave… Dave… Dave.” — Hal in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Thanks.  You’ve been a great audience and don’t forget to tip your Mermaids.
