The Enormous Power of Being Yourself

18 May

Get rejected by girls in high school that you aren’t even that crazy about just by being yourself.

Get made fun of by friends and family just by being yourself.

Get a dead end job and lack of career just by being yourself.

Get suckered into bad deals and awkward social situations just by being yourself.

Get stuck in the middle of a traffic jam on a holiday week-end just by being yourself.

End up at family events when you had a much better place to go just by being yourself. (A family that you became part of just by being yourself.)

Put on a few extra pounds a year that you can’t seem to get rid of just by being yourself.

Watch your basketball skills (a hyperbole if there ever was one) deteriorate rapidly just by being yourself.

Get so angry at your computer that you shout and scream like a madman in front of your kids just by being yourself.

Write an arguably clever list and try to pass it off as a postcard story just by being yourself.
