The Incredibly Complex (But Never Boring) Life of a Little Brother

28 Nov

She was so darn excited to have a little brother. It was the answer to her dreams.

Her father kidded her that he was going to be “a little bother” but she knew better.

Now after three years of being bossed around she was going to be a boss.

She could give a book or magazine greater value than normal just because she had it and her little brother wanted it. The same would apply to every toy, puzzle or piece of clothing. It would be like when a big company enacts a hostile take-over of a little company. Suddenly the value just sky rockets. Oh joy!

Now she had someone she could “accidentally” push, shove, knock over or just generally wreak havoc on if she happened to be bored that day. And then later she could apologize and act the concerned mother. Her cake and eating it, too. And she could eat his cake!

She could convince him that frosting tastes bad. Then pretend to throw it away. And bingo– double frosting!

And if there should be a mishap like a knocked over glass or a ripped something or other she could blame it on him.

She couldn’t wait till they brought the baby home from the hospital so she could get started.
