A whimpering growl followed by sharp barks — “After shock, after shock but it could develop into an earthquake. Don’t forget that I warned you.”

Sharp barks that cause his whole body to leave the ground — “Hey, what the hell are you tossing my new poop into the bushes for? Can’t that be recycled?”

Sharp barking — “It’s a stranger. Call 911, pronto!”

Sharp barking followed by high yips– “Danger, danger it’s a stranger… Wait, it’s Mommy or Daddy or Eva (or
somebody he just met this morning for the first time.) I love you. I really, really love you!”

Low growling– “Why is this child picking me up? Unleash me, immediately!”

One high yip — “I’ve been stepped on. Call workman’s comp., ASAP!”
